Electrochemical oxidation is an electrochemical process where oxidation occurs at the anode and reduction at the cathode in an electrolyte solution (wastewater) under current. Unlike traditional chemical coagulation, electrocoagulation requires minimal or no chemicals, offering a cost - effective, environmentally friendly water treatment with stable outcomes and no secondary pollution.

The TPY - Electro - Catalytic Oxidation Device integrates oxidation, reduction, coagulation, and flotation. It removes COD, BOD, suspended solids, oils, turbidity, color, heavy metals, calcium, and magnesium ions from wastewater, enhancing the B/C ratio for biochemical treatment. During electro - catalytic oxidation, coagulation and precipitation of colloidal and suspended impurities occur. The anode's oxidation and the cathode's reduction eliminate various pollutants.

Working Principle:


Electrochemical reactions:Fe→Fe²⁺+2e⁻.

Anode oxidation:2OH⁻→2[O]+2e⁻→O₂+2e⁻.Primary oxygen [O] has strong oxidation similar to UV, H₂O₂, and O₃.

Cathode reduction:2H⁺+2e⁻→H₂↑.Primary hydrogen can break bonds, reduce COD, and eliminate color - causing groups and multi - ring structures.

These oxidation and reduction reactions occur continuously on the electrode plates.

Flexible operation: Cathode and anode can be switched during use, and the power controller has no power sequence issues.
